Exhibit A: last season's All-Star final, West beats East, 196-173. And the average score of the previous three All-Star Games, 165-150. Yeah, a lot of defense is being played there.
So does it really matter if Zaza starts this game for the West with Curry, Harden, Durant, whomever? Of course not. But it would be an outrage to many. Take a look:
Except that wouldn't be the West's starting lineup -- Zaza might not even make the team at all. The fans account for only 50 percent of All-Star voting and the other 50 percent is the media and players. Combine the two and Zaza doesn't even make the team. The NBA switched to the electoral college system this season.
So you guys with Russell Westbrook Fatheads in your kitchen should really just relax.
