Duke Shocks UNC, Wins 4th Straight vs. Tar Heels
The Duke Blue Devils were down for most of Wednesday night’s game against North Carolina, but in the end, they pulled out a masterful win, 74-73, with some questionable coaching calls by Tar Heels coach Roy Williams.
Strangely, UNC had such control of the game, leading by double-digits in different points, that by the time the final buzzer sounded, everyone just seemed stunned by the result.
Williams has been widely criticized by media and fans for not calling a timeout on the final possession, and rightly so.
UNC’s Brice Johnson had 29 points and 19 rebounds in another masterful performance, but he couldn’t get his team to pick up the defense in the final few minutes of the game.
Duke’s Brandon Ingram now has 10 20-point games, which is the fourth-most by a Duke freshman ever.

Duke, who came into the game ranked 20th in the AP rankings, beat a top-five UNC team. This is the first time in decades that a Duke team ranked outside the top 10 has beaten North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The Blue Devils were so undermanned because of injuries, they had just six players that took shots from the field, and only seven came into the game.
Gosh Darn it, I love seeing Coach K with a less talented team out coach Roy Williams. #DukevsUNC
