Indiana Basketball Star’s Family Keeps It Real With Hilarious T-Shirts
Yogi Ferrell may be the smallest guy on the court for the Indiana Hoosiers, but his impact has been large.
Ferrell became Indiana's all-time assists leader in January, surpassing the previous record of 545 held by Michael Lewis. He is also the team's leading scorer this year while averaging steady 5.6 assists per game, and the point guard's ability to dish the ball as well as score has been a large part of getting Indiana into the Sweet Sixteen.
All that success could really go to a kid's head. Fortunately for us, Ferrell's family is helping to keep his ego in check by creating some lovingly deprecating slogans of their own.
Gotta love little sisters. And I love mom's confidence. I'm all in on the Ferrell family. And of course they are prepared with a fresh set of t-shirts for Indiana's game against UNC, and hopefully a few more games after that. Baby sister Khloe, 14, told ESPN that they have more, and mom Libby confirmed.
"We're going to keep going," she said.
The NCAA Tournament really is one of the best events in sports, and every year there are new stars that emerge and fun, heartwarming stories that capture everyone's attention. Yogi and his family are definitely a little bit of both.
Ferrell and the Hoosiers will face off with the North Carolina Tar Heels in the third round of the tournament on Friday, March 25th.
