Jay Wright’s Reaction To Villanova’s Buzzer-Beater Was Almost As Great As The Shot Itself

They're already calling it the greatest NCAA Tournament Championship Game ever played -- and while I'm not sure about that, I'd have to say that the last 30 seconds probably were. When Kris Jenkins hit a long 3 with less than a second remaining to win it for Villanova, 77-74 over North Carolina, it seems like the entire nation went nuts.
Everyone, that is, except Wildcats head coach Jay Wright. Watch his reaction below.
As he watched Jenkins rise up for the game winner the head coach simply said “bang,” and he didn’t have much of a reaction after the fact either.
That's old-school. That's Gregg Popovich-esque. Wright's reaction was greater than a thousand Jim Valvanos running aimlessly across the floor after North Carolina State beat Houston in 1983. I mean, Jay Wright wears a tie clip, for God's sake. And when that last shot went in, that clip was still intact: as straight as ever.
