Miami Halts Florida’s 33-Game Home Win Streak With Monster Three [GIF]

Both the Florida and Miami basketball programs are historically impressive, but the Hurricanes entered the season unranked and had to travel to Gainesville to face the No. 8 Gators. Florida was heavily favorited in the matchup, but the Hurricanes were desperate to end a 33-game home winning streak for their opponents in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
They can thank senior guard Angel Rodriguez for leading the squad to a 69-67 upset, dropping 24 points on 7-of-14 shooting. The most important of those 24 points came in the final 20 seconds when Rodriguez banged a fadeaway three ball that gave Miami a late lead.
Unfortunately, it wasn't a buzzer beater, but even so, Rodriguez' trey was extremely impressive. He laid down a slick trio of crossovers and found just enough room to jump back and fire off the game-winner.
What a shot.
