More Unrest At USC: Player Quits, Calls Sarkisian A Racist

  • Rick Chandler

Steve Sarkisian must have known that coaching USC wouldn’t be a stroll through an alpine meadow, but he has to be wondering what the hell he’d ever done to deserve this. Close on the heels (sorry) of the Josh Shaw incident (the former captain has been suspended indefinitely), now senior running back Anthony Brown has abruptly quit the team, calling Sarkisian a racist in a parting Instagram post.

Fight on.

Brown’s post:

“Sark treated me like a slave in his Office…Can’t play for a racist MAN!!!!! #Fighton.”

Love the hashtag.

Brown just switched from cornerback to running back this month, and was the fifth running back on the depth chart, according to ESPN’s Arash Markazi. He’s also been hurt for most of training camp.
