Sideline Dustup In Duke-Wake Forest Game Centers Around … Guess Who?
Duke possibly salvaged its season by charging back from a late 10-point deficit to beat host Wake Forest today, 85-83 ... but not before Grayson Allen pulled off some of his trademark shenanigans.
First Allen was called for a technical with Duke trailing by four in the second half, when he fouled the Demon Deacon's Bryant Crawford, and said something to him afterward. Although Crawford mouthed off to Allen first, Allen was the only one who got a t.
Soon after, Allen fouled Crawford by grabbing his arm as they were going for a rebound, sparking a melee near the sideline and resulting in Wake Forest getting a technical.

Duke's Luke Kennard hit the winning shot with 0.6 seconds left on his sixth 3-pointer of the game without a miss. He finished with 34 points. Allen had a 3 to bring the Blue Devils within one on the previous possession.

So none of this turmoil seems to really be Allen's fault -- this time. But his tripping, mouthing-off, getting suspended reputation precedes him, and it will for the rest of the season.
Mike Krzyzewski missed his sixth game, recovering from back surgery.
