Jerry Sandusky’s “Victim 1” Has Gone Public, And Talked To 20/20
Jerry Sandusky's been tried and sentenced for being a serial child predator, but that doesn't mean you're done hearing about the case. With the trial over (well, unless Sandusky's granted another one), one of the victims who got the case against Sandusky going to begin with, known during the trial only as Victim 1, is telling his story in greater depth.
We knew Victim 1 was releasing a book, and that he was planning an interview. And now we know his name: Aaron Fisher. Fisher sat down with ABC's Chris Cuomo and described Sandusky's history of abusing him, and his struggle to get people to help him. It was such a struggle, in fact, that Fisher said that at one point, he contemplated suicide because no case against Sandusky seemed to be progressing. Obviously, this won't be an especially easy-to-watch interview.
The full interview airs tonight on 20/20, but ABC aired a preview earlier today on Good Morning America. That preview is below. Safe to say, Jerry Sandusky won't be the only one who comes out of this looking bad.
