Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel Knocked Out Of Game
In an American Athletic Conference battle tonight between Cincinnati and Memphis, the Bearcats' QB Gunner Kiel took what looked like a shot to the head by CB Chauncey Lanier in the first quarter.
Kiel lay on the field motionless for what seemed like a year until he showed some movement in his extremities. He was carried off on a stretcher in a neck brace. Remember that Kiel experienced a mild concussion in last Saturday's game against Miami of Ohio. Lanier was originally called fro targeting, but that was overturned when the replay showed it was a shoulder-to-shoulder hit (sure as hell looked like targeting to me).
QB-Sub Hayden Moore has played well in Kiel's absence, throwing for 274 yards and 2 TDs. Here's hoping Kiel experiences a complete recovery.
