Coach Rallies His Team By Letting Other Coach Tase Him
It's hard to get amped up for a career in D-III college football. Not only are you literally playing for free -- D-III does not offer scholarships -- but there's literally zero chance that you are competing for a job on the professional level. It's a labor of love that carries the same physical risks of its D-I and NFL counterpart. It's kind of insane. Head coach Andrew Frye of the Centre College Colonels seems to be particularly aware of the fruitless pursuit his players undertake, and he wanted to let them know that he, too, is willing to sacrifice his body for the good of the program.
After all, they're doing that for him so he can get paid. A public tasing is the least he could do.
(Or, ya know, a "thank you" card.)
We're not medical experts, but something tells us that a rather large man willfully having an electric current streamed through his body is a dangerous risk with little to no tangible reward. Some might call it "stupid," but then again, the same could be said for playing NCAA football.
