David Pollack & Jessie Palmer’s Incredibly Problematic ‘Recreation’ Of Odell Beckham’s Catch
Jessie Palmer was the only person on earth that wasn't impressed with Odell Beckham's one-handed, Giants-still-losing, finger-licking-good catch.
So, ESPN's David Pollack and Palmer recreated the Odell Beckham catch -- or so they say.
Here's what they mustered:
Which one is not like the rest?
The problems with the Palmer to Pollack player are innumerable and obvious. 1) They're not at game speed. 2) They're not wearing pads and a helmet. 3) Pollack doesn't have Brandon Carr draped all over him. 4) Pollack didn't use three fingers. 5) The ball velocity was different. 6) The back extension Beckback would snap Pollack in half. 7) Pollack's celebration was stupid. 8) There weren't 82,000 people screaming. 9) Most important, Jessie Palmer is a dick for even questioning this in the first place.
So while Pollack's catch was sweet, it doesn't compare to Odell Beckham's catch. Let's debunk the thought that their display was a recreation or even an emulation. That was just two guys playing pitch and catch.
