VIDEO: FSU QB Caught Punching A Woman In The Face At A Bar
At 19 years old, some things aren't completely clear. Do I have to wear a black tie to a black-tie wedding? How does Congress work? Where do I send my taxes? How do you address an email? One thing that should be perfectly obvious, however, is that hitting a woman is never a good idea -- even if she hits you first.
De'Andre Johnson may have just realized that there is no learning curve for this kind of behavior now that video of his alleged involvement in the assault of a woman has been made public by the Tallahassee Police Department.
[Tallahassee.com] When she addressed him at the bar, she raised her arm to defend herself, and he grabbed her arm and began pushing her. She raised her knee into his midsection to push him away and attempted to punch him, court records say, before Johnson punched her on the left side of her face.
The woman suffered bruising near her left eye, swelling of the left cheek and upper lip, and a small cut near the bridge of her nose, according to court records.
Johnson left the bar after the incident and the woman remained.
State Attorney Willie Meggs, who will prosecute the case, said the woman still had the black eye when she met with prosecutors...
On June 24 at a West Tennessee Street night club called "Yiannis," Florida State quarterback De'Andre Johnson fought through a crowd to get to the bar, where he then open-hand punched a woman across the face. He has been suspended indefinitely from the team while the victim presses battery charges.
Nice knowing you, De'Andre Johnson. Hope you don't mind playing football in Saskatchewan.
