How To Fix Extra Points
Georgia Southern placekicker Younghoe Koo just solved an age-old football dilemma: how do you make extra-points more interesting? His solution: execute a two-star FIFA skill move, then backflip-kick the ball through the uprights. It's vastly more entertaining than watching a man who kicks stationary footballs for a living casually chip a gimme 15 yards, plus it actually requires kickers to be, ya know, athletic (no offense to Sebastian Janikowski).
Don't push it back. Don't narrow the goal posts. Just put the ball on the ground at the 15-yard line, position the kick taker directly behind it, put a defender on the goal line, establish that there is no tackling and make him have to put the ball through the uprights. Give him the option to embarrass the defender with a nutmeg or simply chip it over his head as fast as he can. Turn it into a free kick.
