Jim Harbaugh Asks That Fans Be ‘Respectful’ On Twitter, Is Then Roasted On Twitter
Ha. Or as @MFB01826 tweeted, @CoachJim4UM You new here?
I respectfully ask that fans conduct themselves in a 1st-class manner on social media when commenting on players, opponents & prospects.
— Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) November 4, 2015
But someone is also a bit hypocritical here. You'll see below.
Harbaugh may understand how things work between the sidelines, but he has no clue when it comes to the outlying, Mad Max hellscape of social media -- a lawless wasteland where chaos rules and pleas like his are seen as signs of weakness. Trying to control the internet? Excuse me while I turn myself inside-out laughing. For his next trick, Harbaugh will delay the snowfall and make Judge Judy look like Kate Upton.
Anyway, here's a sample of the response he got to his tweet:
@CoachJim4UM like the way you conduct yourself on the sideline, constantly berating officials who are just trying to do their jobs? Got it.
