Just When You Thought It Couldn’t Get Any Worse For Ohio State, This Happened
As if the Ohio State fan base needed any more bad publicity, photos of Casey Anthony, who last month was controversially acquitted of charges that she murdered her two-year-old daughter in 2008, have emerged, and she's donning none other than scarlet and gray.
Anthony, who has been out of the public eye since she was acquitted on July 5, was spotted by TMZ at a Columbus, Ohio Old Navy store this week, wearing a red hat with the OSU Block O logo on the front. And unfortunately for Buckeye fans (including this SportsGrid intern), this isn't the first time that Anthony has associated with OSU, as pictures of her wearing a Buckeye jersey surfaced during her trial.
OSU fans are so appalled by the thought of an alleged (albeit acquitted) baby murderer cheering for the same team as them, that a local radio station, WNCI, is offering Anthony $10,000 to take off her scarlet and gray in favor of some Michigan maize and blue.
That is, assuming that Nancy Grace hasn't bought up all the Wolverine gear that's currently available.
