Southern University Marching Band’s Weird, Amazing Cover Of Adele’s ‘Hello’
The Bayou Classic is the annual college football game between the Southern University Jaguars and the Grambling State Tigers, and has taken place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year since 1990 - though the tradition itself supposedly dates all the way back to 1932.
The nationally televised game between the two schools is one of the events of the football season, and one of the reasons is the Battle of the Bands that features each school's marching band. Well it turns out that Southern University's band, known as "The Human Jukebox," is absolute fire. The Human Jukebox is well known for being one of the best college marching bands in the country. You may recognize them as they have performed at five Super Bowls, and have even had rivals teams include an appearance by the group in the contract for their matchup, according to the NCAA.
So you can imagine that they would try to pull out all the stops for their signature performance at the rivalry game; and boy did they ever. There's straight up no human on the planet that is hotter right now than Adele, and that applies double for her hit single "Hello." So buckle up people, because that's what Human Jukebox brought to the Thanksgiving table for this year's Bayou Classic and it's as funky and awesome as you could possibly hope for.
And make sure to listen to the chorus, or you will regret it until the end of time.
For more Human Jukebox awesomeness, watch their contracted performance at the University of Georgia earlier this season, which features a pretty bad ass version of the Whip/Nae Nae towards the end.
