VINE: Bowling Green Lineman Plays Dead After Losing His Shoe
September 5 / Tanya Ray Fox / SportsGrid
That awkward moment when... you lose your shoe and you need to stop the clock but no one will pay attention so you have to play dead.
Yup, the struggle was real for Bowling Green defensive lineman Mike Minns during their first regular season game on Saturday against #25 Tennessee. After losing his shoe and realizing that the Volunteers were lining up and he didn't have any time, Minns did the first thing he could think of; and it was hilarious.
Someone needs to alert the BGSU Theater Department that Minns is just strolling around on campus with those acting chops going completely unnoticed.
The whole this is actually pretty ingenious. He knew he wasn't going to get out of there in time and he needed the clock to stop. Obviously he figured they wouldn't ignore a 325lb. guy lying motionless in the middle of the field. Not only did he do what he needed to do to just get his damn cleat back on, but he provided us with what is sure to be one of the best college football Vines of the year; and Week 1 isn't even over yet.
