WATCH: Everett Golson Jacks Up BC Defender
Everett Golson may be a former member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but this play took zero luck, using his skill and might for a crushing block on Boston College defender Kevin Kavelac.
A crushing block by Golson, now a member of the Florida State Seminoles, helped set up a first down run by WR Kermit Whitfield, en route to a touchdown on the Seminoles' opening drive that went for a touchdown, one of two on the day as the Noles took a 14-0 decision from the Boston College Eagles.
Golson started for two years at quarterback at South Bend, before transferring to FSU this offseason. The move has paid off thus far for both parties. The Seminoles, currently ranked 9th in the nation, have gotten off to a 3-0 start, thanks in part to Golson thus far flourishing under center in Tallahassee. Thus far on the young season, Golson has completed 64 percent of his passes for 584 yards and 6 touchdown throws. He has yet to throw an interception on the year.
Geoff Magliocchetti was once a long snapper, but never got to throw a block like that. Let him know what it's like on Twitter @GeoffMags5490
