1-833-CRYGATE: Watch This Hilarious PSA For Teams That Lose To The Patriots
September 15 / Tanya Ray Fox / SportsGrid
Monday Night Football's double-header is over, Week 1 is officially in the books and the country's least favorite team is 1-0! Now it's onto Week 2 which in turn means it's onto another team that may or may not find a new way the Patriots cheated them out of a win.
Raise your hand if you'd like to spend one more minute of your precious football Sundays talking about New England/Tom Brady/Bill Belichick/SpyGate/DeflateGate/Headsets...
Yeah, that's what I figured.
Whether you are a fan of the Patriots or you'd rather swallow knives than root for them, it's finally the actual NFL season and there is little chance that you want another week of football even slightly dominated by another Patriots cheating accusation. There are 32 teams in the NFL with many new noteworthy story lines emerging everyday, and it's clear that no one knows that better than the good folks over at Comcast SportsNet New England.
So a few days ago, in a concerted effort to look out for the collective good of football fans everywhere, CSNNE kindly aired the following Public service announcement aimed at combating any further cheating-related distress caused by a loss to the Patriots this season.
Okay even if you are a little mad right now, you have to admit that's pretty hilarious. It really has gotten so hard to listen to the same old recycled complaints get regurgitated week after week by teams and fans that are bent out of shape and are looking for validation.
At the end every Monday for the next three months, the only real validation that any team and fan base can lean on is a 'W'. The Patriots are still in the NFL. Tom Brady is playing. Those are facts that all league organizations and dudes on couches in Hines Ward jerseys have to deal with.
The Patriots have been beaten before and they will be beaten again. Either be the team that beats them or stop being pathetic and shut up about it.
And bravo to the guys of Football Fix at CSNNE! The finalist banner burn is basically the best thing ever.
