Aaron Rodgers Joining With His Fantasy Owners And Having A Stiff Drink After Yesterday
For those of you that drafted Aaron Rodgers in the first two rounds, we feel your pain. It's so tempting to take the "sure thing", rather than take a risk on a running back or a wide receiver that very well could get hurt. It's a massive problem, however, when the "sure thing" kind of stinks. And that's the story with Aaron Rodgers.
Last year when the Packers were all out of sync the media and the fans blamed everybody else but Rodgers. First it was Jordy Nelson, then it was the fact that Mike McCarthy wasn't calling the plays. Then it was Eddie Lacy being a bit overweight. Then it was Randall Cobb was never truly healthy. The excuses piled up, but once the new season began it was all out the window. Nelson was back, McCarthy was back calling plays, Lacy was in the best shape of his life and Randall Cobb was finally 100% healthy.
We are now six weeks in and the Packers offense looks anything but in sync. Green Bay had zero rhythm yesterday and in watching the game, it was clear that it's finally time to place most of the blame squarely on the right shoulder of Aaron Rodgers. The star quarterback missed easy throws (including to Cobb wide open in the end zone) and even had a Blaine Gabbert like interception/fumble combination. Rodgers' final total was okay, but if you are a Rodgers owner or a Packers fan it's extremely tough to R-E-L-A-X.
Hopefully Rodgers' way of coping will work for you too.
"Have a glass of scotch and chill out a little bit [and] watch the film".
Yep, there's nothing that will help you relax more than a stiff scotch. Probably should drink a few of them after watching that game tape though. The good news is the Packers have a short week this week to forget about that disaster. They host their arch rivals, the Bears, on Thursday night.
