Waiver Wire Power Rankings
(with suggested FAAB Bids & time of Podcast)

  1. Zac Stacy ($41)
  2. Andre “Juke” Ellington ($26)
  3. Andre Brown ($0)
  4. Mike James ($19)
  5. Roy Helu Jr. ($3)
  6. Daniel Thomas ($6)
  7. Mike Tolbert ($4)
  8. Shane Vereen ($0)
  9. Chris Ivory ($1)
  10. Brian Leonard ($0)
  11. Stepfan Taylor ($0)
  12. James Starks ($2)
  13. Fozzy Whittaker ($0)
  14. Tashard Choice ($0)

Should have listened up last week when Juke Ellington could have been had for pennies instead of actual full dollars. Zac Stacy is still the better pick up long term, but is inching closer to universal ownership, so he’s likely unavailable. Ellington will never be a “work horse” back because of his size, but he continues to produce every other week. His pass catching makes him slightly more valuable in PPR formats. Without Rashard Mendenhall around, Stepfan Taylor received double-digits touches and looks like a decent add in deep formats if you’re hurting at RB… Mike James didn’t get the workload we expected, but chalk that up to the tough opponent and score of the game. Doug Martin’s timetable to return is 2-8 weeks (GREAT!), but as long as Martin’s not around, James will be a primary ball handler in Tampa. In PPR leagues, Brian Leonard will be a sneaky 6-10 points a week. Guy loves him some catches…  Now’s the time to invest in Roy Helu after his poor showing against the Broncos… If you’re looking for a stash, I prefer Andre Brown over Shane Vereen. Brown will likely return after the Giants’ bye this week and has a clearer path to more touches than Vereen. Bill Belichick has morphed into Karl Marx – or potentially Friedrich Engels – with his Communist-like distribution of the running back wealth. Against the Dolphins, Stevan Ridley, Brandon Bolden and LaGarrette Blount were all entrenched in a massive timeshare, no rhyme or reason to it. Vereen is walking back into that awful scenario. I like his upside, but his situation just isn’t as good as Brown’s… FOZZY WHITTAKER!!! Fozzy Wozzy was a bear; Fozzy Wozzy only scores through the air. Yes, I’m a master of the lyrical arts – only Muppet related, though. Whittaker’s not a great add, but will be relevant in the Browns passing attack, and with Jason Campbell’s affinity for check downs, that possess value in 14+ Team PPR leagues.

  1. Terrance Williams ($27)
  2. Jarrett Boykin ($16)
  3. Emmanuel Sanders ($11)
  4. Marvin Jones ($21)
  5. Harry Douglas ($22)
  6. Kendall Wright ($2)
  7. Jeremy Kerley ($4)
  8. Darrius Heyward-Bey ($6)
  9. Aaron Dobson ($4)
  10. Nate Burleson ($0)
  11. Mike Brown ($3)
  12. Lance Moore ($2)
  13. Kenny Stills ($6)
  14. Drew Davis ($1)
  15. David Nelson ($2)
  16. Kris Durham ($4)
  17. Nate Washington ($0)
  18. LaVon Brazill ($1)
  19. Riley Cooper ($0)
  20. Myles White ($0)
  21. Cordarrelle Patterson ($0)
  22. Rishad Matthews ($0)
  23. Cole Beasley ($0)
  24. Greg Little ($1)
  25. Marquise Goodwin ($0)
  26. Darrius Davis ($0)
  27. T.J. Graham ($0)
  28. Dexter McCluster ($0)

Marvin Jones is going to be the hot pickup of the week after his eight catch, 4 TD showing against the Jets. Don’t expect that to repeat itself… ever. Still, that’s now 15 receptions, 250 yards and 6 TDs the past three weeks. He’s clearly passed Mohamed Sanu and the tight ends as Andy Dalton’s second look after A.J. Green. Still rather haveTerrance Williams and Jarrett Boykin, and I trust Emmanuel Sanders to be better for the long haul but Jones is more than worthy a waiver claim, the upside is there… My love for Aaron Dobson persists; Kenbrell Thompkins is droppable… You won’t need to spend much on Mike Brown with the Jags going into a bye, but keep him on your radar. He’s now been productive three straight weeks… Give me Lance Moore over Kenny Stills. People are going to rush to grab Stills after his big game against the Bills, but be prepared for a letdown when he grabs one ball for 6 yards next week. He’s Devery Henderson v2.0. All boom or all bust. Mostly bust… Don’t forget about Kendall Wright just because he got the week off. Darrius Heyward-Bey too… As long as Roddy White isn’t around, Harry Douglas is a Top 15 WR,Drew Davis is a capable plug and play and Darrius Johnson becomes someone to look at in the deepest of formats. Johnson only managed 4-40, but he did see 9 targets from Matt Ryan. Those nine were two more than Davis’ 7… IfJames Jones continues to be absent, Myles White will be the WR3 in Green Bay, and anyone with Aaron Rodgersthrowing to them actually has value. White went 5-35 with 7 Targets against the Vikings… Brandon Gibson is done for the year, opening the door for Rishard Matthews to inherit his chain-moving/redzone role… Ryan Broyles season ending injury just provides more security for Kris Durham, that is, until Nate Burleson makes his triumphant comeback in a couple weeks… Don’t believe in Dexter McCluster. I’ve made that mistake before. Multiple times.

TIGHT ENDS (41:40)

  1. Jordan Reed ($38)
  2. Tim Wright ($2)
  3. Coby Fleener ($4)
  4. Charles DICE Clay ($2)
  5. Garrett Graham ($1)
  6. Scott Chandler ($0)
  7. Anthony Fasano ($0)
  8. Rob Housler ($0)

If Jordan Reed is still available in your league, it’s time to start playing in a better league… Mike Williams’ hamstring has landed him on the IR, elevating Tim Wright into the No. 2 receiving option on the Bucs. He’ll be a fringe Top 10 TE in PPR formats moving forward, just like he’s been for the past 4 weeks – aka – since Mike Glennon took over at QB in Tampa… The loss of Brandon Gibson may generate a few more looks for Charles DICE Clay too… Case Keenum was looking a lot for Garrett Graham in his first start, a trend that will continue going forward… Don’t count on anotherScott Chandler 11 target game ever again, but he remains a great home run play if you’re simply searching for a TD from your TE slot.

  1. Andy Dalton ($11)
  2. Terrelle Pryor ($8)
  3. Nick Foles ($2)
  4. Christian Ponder ($0)
  5. Jake Locker ($1)

Doubtful Andy Dalton is on waivers, but if he is, he’s the clear pickup… Ditto for Terrelle Pryor… There’s a load of uncertainly surrounding the Eagles QB situation: Michael Vick may or may not play, same goes for Nick Foles. Vick cannot be trusted to make it through an entire game, but I like Foles in this matchup against Oakland is he can play, and is starting. I continue to despise Matt Barkley. He REEKS… You’ll never feel good about it, but Dallas has made Fantasy superstars out of almost every QB that’s gone up against them, hence Christian Ponder: Deep League Bye Week Filler… I like Jake Locker more long-term, but if I need a guy this week, I’m Ponder over Locker.

  1. New Orleans vs NYJ ($6)
  2. Baltimore vs CLE ($5)
  3. Tennessee vs STL ($2)
  4. Buffalo vs KC ($1)
  5. Oakland vs PHI ($0)

The Saints D/ST has been very opportunistic this season, and a date with #GENOPICKS is a match made in Fantasy heaven… The Ravens D/ST may have been dropped because of their bye week. Worth a look to see if they’re lingering on the wire… The Bills D/ST and their fearsome front 7 are going to give nightmares to Alex Smith and the anemic Kansas City offense… And bump up Raiders D/ST if Barkley is under center for Philly. He can’t help but be terrible.
