Adrian Peterson is looking to be in good form tonight against the Cardinals. Last year was a lost season after his suspension, but after a rough first game against the 49ers (CARL! THE 49ERS, CARL!), AD has been on a roll, already over 1000 yards and on-pace to perhaps get his second best total in TDs (he got 18 in 2009, and 12 in each of four seasons). And tonight, he did this:
With a jump to the left and a step to the right, Peterson did the Time Warp in more ways than one, reminding fans, defenses, teammates and fantasy players how much of an impact a 30-year-old RB can have as the Vikings make a run at the NFC North.
Adrian Peterson is running as young as any 9th-year, 30-year-old, high-contact running back I can remember.
And that TD had the added bonus of being the 100th of his career. He trails only Antonio Gates (103) among active players, whom he will likely pass (note that Gates also had to deal with a suspension). And while he's the 23rd player to reach 100 TDs, he is only the 9th to do it in 117 games or less.
