All The Terrible Things Said About Matt Ryan's Terrible Interception In London
Maybe it was the odd neutral setting, or the early start time (9:30 AM ET), or the fact that neither of the teams are very good, but a lot went wrong during the Lions-Falcons game in London yesterday. Bill Barnwell had this to say about it in his Week 8 breakdown: "Forget this game ever happened. Do literally anything else with your life than think about this football game again."
Good advice. Unfortunately, we need to rewind for a moment to reflect on Matt Ryan's late third quarter interception, which, depending on whose tweet you believe, was either the worst interception of the week, the season, or the history of time.
For the record, it's fucking awful. Under pressure, Ryan rolls left, then throws back across the field in what is either an attempt to throw the ball away or perhaps find Harry Douglas near the sideline. Instead, he floats it into the waiting arms of cornerback Cassius Vaughn, who was defending... nobody.
Undeniably atrocious. Let's go to Twitter to see how people felt about it in the grand scheme of things:

That's interception by Matt Ryan is one of the four or five worst passes by a pro football player I've ever seen.

Here's the best one:
I just had my first "But how am I supposed to explain this to my children!" moment, and it was about Matt Ryan's interception.

Ryan talked about the pick afterwards, saying that "it kinda cost us the ball game," which is obviously the nicest thing anyone ever said about it.
