Andrew Luck Out 2-6 Weeks — Here’s The Collision That Did It
And so it's Matt Hasselbeck time in Indianapolis, as Andrew Luck has been declared out for 2-6 weeks with a lacerated kidney and a partial tear of an abdominal muscle during their win over the Broncos, say the Colts. It most likely happened at the end of this fourth-quarter play below, in which Luck scrambled before being stapled, folded and mutilated by the Broncos' defense.
"It's way too early to guess how long Andrew will be out," said coach Chuck Pagano. "We're going to keep listening to the doctors and evaluating his progress on a week by week basis. We've got all the confidence in the world in Matt Hasselbeck and we're not going to put Andrew back out there until he's healed and ready to go."
The Colts have a bye this week, which helps. Then they have the Falcons, Buccaneers and Steelers in succession. Atlanta and Tampa Bay are winable games for Hasselbeck, so presumably if they get Luck back by the Steelers game they should be in pretty good shape.
If Andrew Luck lacerated his kidney while excessively waving to his best friend, I quit. https://t.co/rKlq4OjJXA
