Andrew Luck Refuses To Watch Game Of Thrones Because George Martin Is Lazy
Andrew Luck is a notable nerd. He started what has to be the first NFL book club , is an avid "Settlers Of Catan" player, and is obsessed with "Lord of the Rings". So it should come as no surprise that Luck is a massive "Game Of Thrones" fan. In fact he's such a huge fanatic that he refuses to watch the show.
In an interview with The Ringer, Luck describes how he is waiting for George R. R. Martin to finish the "A Song Of Ice and Fire" books and refuses to watch the series in fear of being spoiled. For years the book readers have been ahead of the show watchers, but because Martin is taking his sweet ass time finishing the sixth book, the show has officially passed the novels. Luck, in an effort to avoid being jaded, has only seen a couple of episodes. Of course it's not easy to avoid all of the "Thrones" chatter though. It's also not easy to avoid Dwayne Allen.
Allen, the Colts starting tight end, like the rest of us, needs to talk about "Game Of Thrones" all of the time. This naturally includes inside the Colts locker room. Instead of joining in on the fun, Luck needs his earmuffs. Luck is being tortured by a mad man in George R.R. Martin who not only created his own world, but created his own language and history. The question isn't when Martin will finish the series, it's if. The guy is pretty old after all. And if he doesn't wind up finishing the books, will Luck ever tune into the show? Well, by the time he does potentially start, it's possible that his neck beard is longer than Tormund's.
