Angry Eagles Fan Has Reasonable Response To Loss To Cardinals (Just Kidding)
The NFC East is not so much a division of four NFL teams vying for a playoffs spot as it is a contest to see who can embarrass themselves the least on a weekly basis. People call it a "dumpster fire," but that description is becoming old and it's barely accurate. At least dumpster fires generate heat and dispose of waste -- the NFC has markedly fewer redeeming qualities. It's more of dumpster bathtub.
Over the weekend, the Cowboys, Giants and Eagles all lost, leaving Washington as the sole owner the division's automatic playoff bid. Had you predicted this scenario at the beginning of the season -- or even a few games in -- you'd have been turned in to local authorities by your loved ones and institutionalized on a remote iceberg nuthouse. Needless to say, it's been a bizarre year that has weighed heavily on the psyche of those of us unfortunate enough to have follow one of the four iconic NFC East franchises into the 2015 season. Notably, this guy: EatDatPussy445.
His latest explosive rant about Philadelphia's 40-17 home loss at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals typifies the kind of emotional pain a fan experiences when their team is so obviously bad yet remains in the playoff hunt because they're competing with similarly inept football teams. It is angry. It is dirty. It is perfect.
