Awesome Construction Crew Surprises Neighbor With Dream NFL Tickets
It's Wednesday and it's the holidays, so inevitably your work day is either going by too slowly or went by too fast and now you have a bunch of shit to do. I get it. We're all in this grind together, which is why I'd like to brighten your spirits just a little.
Richard Nowakowski was a postal worker for 33 years before he suffered a stroke 12 years ago. Now he spends his days sitting on the front porch of his home in Hartford, Wisconsin. And he's taken to making a lot of people's days a whole lot better while he sits there.
Despite having speech problems resulting from his stroke, Richard cheers on, encourages and happily chats with the constructions workers across the street. Where other neighbors might hear annoying cacophony, Richard sees a group of hard workers just trying to do the best work that they can. And through his kindness and joy, he's become beloved by the entire crew.
So for the holidays, they decided to do something to thank Richard for bringing a special joy to their lives and their work. Get your tissues ready, my friends. Here's the whole story as told by WISN 12 local news in Wisconsin.
I'm almost positive that giving Packers tickets as a gift in the state of Wisconsin is akin to offering to give someone your first born child. From Richard's big heart and energizing spirit to the construction crew's delight over his reaction to the gift, this whole video is just a perfect reminder about the best of humanity.
It's also a great personal lesson that you should never judge a person based on the logo they wear on their hardhat; because that guy totally rocked.
