Cam Newton Rebukes NFL Refs, The Batman
The Carolina Panthers had just ended a four-game losing streak with a 30-20 win over Arizona, and quarterback Cam Newton had an important message for the NFL pointed directly at the refs.
Unfortunately, it was delivered with that comically-long pistol that The Joker used to bring down the Batplane.

The quarterback did however open up to reporters about feeling fed up with the non-calls on late or illegal hits. He noted, “It’s really taking the fun out of the game for me. At times I don’t even feel safe. And enough is enough. I plan on talking to Roger Goodell about this. And I don’t know what I have to do.”
He has a point. There does seem like an awful lot of roughing up the quarterback when Newton has the ball -- and the cause of the refs ignoring some of the more egregious hits is a bit of a mystery. Is it because Newton is a running quarterback? Is it because he's big? Because he's brash? Because he calls himself Superman? The Arizona Republic:
“Hits to the head, that’s one thing but when you’re not protected in the pocket, that’s another thing. The story of my life ever since I came in is, ‘Oh well, we missed that one. I’m sorry. I’ll try to get it.’ "
Whatever it is, one thing is for certain. No one is going to take you all that seriously if you face the press dressed as (chooee one):
* The Joker.
* The Mask.
* Professor Harold Hill.
