Carson Wentz Bought His Offensive Line A Bunch Of Guns For Christmas
By now, you've heard all kinds of stories about fancy NFL quarterbacks buying their hardworking offensive lines everything from televisions to John Deere utility vehicles for Christmas. It's a cool gesture every that has become tradition across the league, and it's a great way for the league to engage in spreading some holiday cheer.
However it appears that Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz is under the impression that he's supposed to spread "holiday fear," because he bought his entire offensive line shotguns!
Not only that, but according to ESPN.com, the Beretta shotguns are personally engraved for that extra magical touch.
Now for an experience gun owner like Wentz, I would assume that's a pretty sweet gift. Guard Brandon Brooks seemed stoked about it.
"I like to go clay shooting and stuff," Brooks said. "All I've got is a home defense tactical shotgun, short-barrel, so I was looking for one of these."
Of course, some of Wentz's teammates have absolutely no idea what to do with a shotgun, making this an incredibly odd gift to receive.
"I haven't really held a gun or anything before," rookie Isaac Seumalo said. "But I'm more than thankful for it. It looks sweet. Carson said he'd teach me how to use it and all that good stuff."
Allen Babre added that he doesn't know if he'll ever shoot it.
The thing about guns is that they aren't the kind of thing you want, unless you already own guns. No one gets their first gun as a gift and is like "hell yeah, I always wanted one of these!" You're either a gun person or you're not.
Also, don't you need permits to own a gun? I don't understand any of this. All I know is that giving guys a bunch of personally engraved shotguns for Christmas is the most North Dakota thing that has ever happened.
