Champ Bailey To Colin Cowherd: Tim Tebow Was So Awful In Practice, Scout Team Told To Lay Off Him
Champ Bailey sat in on Colin Cowherd's radio show today and told us something we probably already suspected, but never heard articulated from a former teammate. The defensive back played for the Broncos for 10 seasons, and retired last year. He also played with Tim Tebow, who, Bailey said, was so bad in practice that coaches told the scout team to take it easy on him.

Regardless of your feelings on Tebow, it's hard to fault the coaches who ended up cutting him. How do you hold a roster spot for a quarterback when you never know what you're going to get during a game? Tebow's stubbornness in not switching positions, to tight end or even fullback, was his undoing in the NFL. And his unwillingness to try the Canadian Football League or the AFL ended his career. Admire him for his personal life, but don't be angry that he's not playing. That's his own fault.
