Coming Off Of A Huge Week, Microsoft's Cortana Spits Out Its Week 6 NFL Picks

After a disappointing 5-7 record two weeks ago, we were all ready to give up on Microsoft's Cortana -- the Bing-powered Windows phone application that is picking every NFL game this season. Cortana was just above .500 as of then, and that's picking games straight up, not against the spread.
But then Cortana went 13-2 in Week 5, and like with Tom Brady, we once again believe. Of course, the Vegas favorites dominated that week, and Nate Silver's model also went 13-2. So can Cortana keep it rolling? Here are its picks for Week 6:
Cortana is bullish on the Broncos over the Jets, Seahawks over Cowboys and Chargers over Raiders. Of those, consensus Vegas odds favor Broncos (by 9 1/2), Seahawks (8) and Chargers (7) as of this writing. But while Cortana usually goes with the favorites, it deviated with Steelers-Browns. Vegas has the Browns at -2, while Cortana has the Steelers winning 53.3 percent of the time.
The Cortana model is powered by Bing, which has partnerships with Facebook and Twitter, and aggregates data from those users to help with its predictions. Yes, you;re helping to make these picks. So do your homework.
