Delusional Time-Traveler Alshon Jeffery Guarantees A Bears Super Bowl Win
Guaranteeing any kind of win is just about the stupidest thing that any athlete can say to the media. If they lose, they look like a tool and get roasted for it. And if they win, they look like a tool and no one actually cares that they predicted it because it's sort of a 50-50 situation at that point.
So keeping that in mind, imagine how breathtakingly and unnecessarily stupid it would be for a player to guarantee a Super Bowl win.
Okay and now imagine just how insanely dense someone would have to be to guarantee a Super Bowl win immediately after their team loses their final game of the season to finish 3-13.
Take it away, Mr. Jeffery:
Yes, despite having just finished last in the NFC North, Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery guarantees a Bear Super Bowl win in 2017. He is seemingly un-phased by the fact that his team hasn't been to the playoffs since the 2010 season, or by the fact that they have an incredible amount of work to do to even be competitive in their division.
It's for all those reasons - and many more - that Twitter went all in on roasting Jeffery for his outrageous declaration.
The 2017 regular season may be over, but the hilarious tweets will live on forever. Unless Russia hacks Twitter and erases it forever.
