Demaryius Thomas Sums Up Exactly How We Feel About Coldplay
Super Bowl 50 is nearly upon us and opening night has been an absolute gem. The lighthearted nature of the night was particularly refreshing in comparison to last year, when entire week leading up to the big game was a horrifying cycle of repetitive DeflateGate questions and "I'm here so I won't get fined" soundbites.
One of the best moments of the night though came in the form of a short two sentence exchange between a reporter and Broncos tight end Demaryius Thomas. The topic at hand: Coldplay.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Yeah, Thomas legit has no clue who Coldplay is. Nor does he have any interest in finding out. I think we are all a little jealous of the fact that Thomas can live in blissful Colplay ignorance while the rest of us have to suffer through an inevitably underwhelming and decidedly uncomfortable halftime show.
There's seriously nothing worse than being amped up from the first half of a great football game only to have to rush to the remote and mute the TV for a half an hour just to avoid having to hear Beyonce guest-sing on "Yellow." Why the NFL insists on doing this to us we may never know....
Actually, we do know. They make money off of people PAYING to play their goddamned halftime show. Gross.
Left shark, we hardly knew ye'.
