DeSean Jackson’s ‘I CAN’T BREATHE’ Custom Cleats Put Nike In A Bind
DeSean Jackson is about to put Nike in a very tough spot this week against the Giants:

After publicly opposing its athlete's after-market customized cleats, Nike will be forced to decided between keeping its word and terminating DeSean's contract for wearing non-conforming "I CAN'T BREATHE" footwear, or letting the Eric Garner-tribute apparel slide.
What to do? Here's NIKE's official stance on the matter:
[SI] “Your Nike Football Contract requires that you wear ‘Nike’ products that have been designated by Nike Sports Marketing for such use. Nike views third-party customization (or post-embellishment) of Nike footwear to be a violation of the contract, triggering Nike’s right to immediately terminate the contract.”
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver declined to suspend LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant and others when they donned the symbolic "I CAN'T BREATHE" shirts during warm-ups. Will Nike back away from this on, or will they risk looking like a soulless corporation that doesn't care about social issues? Stay tuned.
