Dez Bryant Vs. Josh Norman Isn’t The Feud We Deserve, But It’s The One We Need

John Madden said on Wednesday that NFL ratings are down because "there aren't enough good teams." I agree somewhat -- but I'd say it's because there aren't enough good rivalries. Patriots-Jets? One of those teams isn't holding up their end. Packers-Bears or Packers-Vikings? All of those teams are leaking oil, big time.
Rams-49ers? Seahawks-49ers? Only one of those teams doesn't suck. Even Falcons-Saints isn't showing much allure.
About the only real NFL rivalry that's hot right now is Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Indigenous People. And that's being fueled right now by Dez Bryant and Josh Norman.
As the great Strother Martin said in Cool Hand Luke: "What we've got here is a failure to communicate."
Bryant and Norman were jabbering pretty much all day during their game on Thursday, the afterwards almost came to blows. Norman said that he was headed toward Dak Prescott to congratulate him on the Dallas win, when Bryant bumped him. The two had words, and Norman threw a towel at Bryant as the two were being separated.
Bryant, after the game to reporters: "First off, Washington needs to get their money back for Josh Norman. ... He's extremely soft."
Norman: "Don't step to someone when the game is over like that when they're not even looking for you, or even having a conversation with you,” Norman said. “They won the game, so you have to tip your hats off to them. But I don't do trash, and that was trashy on his behalf.”
