Eagles’ Long Snapper Jon Dorenbos Baffles ‘America’s Got Talent’ Judges With Card Tricks
Jon Dorenbos is one of the most anonymous athletes in pro sports -- that is, if you didn't see that 2014 edition of Real Sports with Bryant Gumble that featured the Eagles' long snapper. A two-time Pro Bowler, Dorenbos has an unusual off-season occupation -- he travels the country performing a magic/comedy act.
His specialty is card tricks, which he showcased on the latest episode of America's Got Talent. And he kind of crushed it.
Dorenbos took up comedy at as a coping mechanism during the worst time of his life. When Dorenbos was 12 years old, his father was convicted of murdering his mother. A friend introduced him to magic tricks in an effort to distract him and cheer him up that year, and soon he was hooked. "It saved my life, man," he told Gumble.
