Eagles Lose To 49ers Despite This Jeremy Maclin Catch That Made A Mockery Of Our Laws Of Physics
September 29 / Rick Chandler / SportsGrid
Since 1930, NFL teams that have scored three more more return touchdowns are 71-1-1. No wait, make that 71-2-1, after the Eagles lost to the 49ers on Sunday, 26-21. As the score indicates, Philadelphia got almost nothing going on offense -- waiting until the fourth quarter to even cross into San Francisco territory. And on that drive the Eagles stalled at the 2 ... with two incomplete passes from there on third and fourth down.
Jeremy Maclin's one-handed catch, above, kept the drive alive. Best catch of the day? You be the judge.
Philly scored on a blocked punt in the end zone, a Darren Sproles' punt return and a pick-six by Malcolm Jenkins.
So I guess that Jim Harbaugh isn't on his way to Michigan, at least this week.
