Eli Manning Crushed Tiki Barber With A ‘Sledgehammer Wrapped In Velvet’

Earlier this week, Tiki Barber said that his former boss and still-Giants head coach Tom Coughlin should lose his job. It wasn't an overly controversial opinion -- the Giants don't look good right now -- but coming from Barber, who has made something nothing of a post-football career out of bashing his old team, it continues to sound like sour grapes.
That's basically the stance quarterback Eli Manning took when asked about Barber's comments yesterday. Via NFL.com (emphasis ours):
"That's nice of him," Manning said, according to the New York Daily News. "It's good to hear from old Tiki."
The quarterback was asked if it's a distraction when a former teammate calls for the coach to be fired.
"I think," Eli replied, "it depends on your opinion of that player."
Hear hear! It'd be one thing if Michael Strahan was calling for Coughlin's head. But Tiki Barber couldn't hold Michael Strahan's jockstrap at this point.
