Why Can’t I Get Fantasy Football Right?
For the record, I loved my team last week. Also for the record, I knew Washington State would hang with USC on Thursday; not only did they hang, they won outright at home and it was the start of a great week. However, this is about my plight in the world of Fantasy Football and I was convinced I had the perfect lineup. I was sure of it. This was the million dollar roster. UGH. I did score 112.5 points and finished in third place for the week, out of the money; but still in second place for the season and only 15 points off the leader.
That isn’t the point, the point is I was striving for perfection. I was striving to score the most points, I live by “go big or go home.” I might as well have finished last. Let’s look at this lineup. Keep in mind I said that Ezekiel Elliott would be the Player of The Week and Russell Wilson would have his best game to date for the season.
I was in second to last place going into Sunday night and Russell stepped up big time scoring nearly 30 points. It was fun climbing out of the cellar and actually thinking I had a chance to win on Sunday night. Wilson wasn’t the problem. Elliott? He wasn’t the problem either. He wasn’t the best running back on the field on Sunday, but he came through with 27.9 points. Leonard Fournette? 22.5 points were fine for me.
The problem came that I keep looking at TE as a value pick, my last pick every week is based on points and my defense got LIT UP for nearly 60 points.
I can look at this as a big L or I can see that I am learning. I am adapting and I am getting better. I got into Wrestling announcing with one goal in mind, to be the best and in 2017 I am The GOAT. I will be the GOAT of Fantasy Football. I will learn from these mistakes and continue to see where I fell short.
I have yet to set my lineup for this week. I will do so tomorrow when I have finished my 5 million other work related items, and I will write about that tomorrow here on RotoExperts.com. This is my moment to become a Phoenix that rises from my ashes of finishing in third place on Sunday.
College Football feature two Top 25 Teams tonight. Louisville is so unpredictable and NC State is better. I like the over at 66.
I will have more tomorrow and you will see my lineup. Tomorrow will be better than today.
