FS1’s Jay & Dan Hilariously Depict What Happens When Sports Pundits Agree
January 4 / Tanya Ray Fox / SportsGrid
There is absolutely nothing that the sports internet loves more than to destroy the hot takes of our TV sports debate show hosts. This is one of the few true and inalienable facts of modern pop culture.
From Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd on Fox Sports 1 to Stephen A. Smith over at their alma mater, the internet is littered with take down pieces and incredulous dismay over the provocative commentary that these daytime millionaires spew from our screens on a daily basis.
We here at SportsGrid have partaken in such criticism ourselves on more than one occasion.
They [the pundits] manufacture a take that is off-the-wall bonkers, and we in the blogosphere get on our high-horses to condemn them for being overpaid, banana-pants lunatics. Then we tweet it out and watch in delight as the retweets, comments and mentions roll in!
It's a little game we all participate in whether we're willing to admit it or not. We deserve to be mocked, and FS1's Jay and Dan were more than happy to take on the task.
On Tuesday's Fox Sports Live, the co-hosts engaged in their own debate segment centered around a hot button issue in the world of sports: should Washington pay handsomely to keep quarterback Kirk Cousins? But instead of engaging in fiery parley...they simply agreed.
