GROSS: Even Concussions Can’t Stop Johnny Manziel From Partying
Apparently when Browns QB Johnny Manziel was ruled out for the Brown's Week 17 game on Sunday due to a concussion, he took that to mean that he should go to Vegas and party the night before the game.
Yet another classy, mature decision from the NFL's least deserving superstar.
According to Scott Boeck of USA Today, employees and patrons at the Planet Hollywood casino in Las Vegas spotted Manziel dining and gambling at the establishment on Saturday night. Tina Samira, a waitress at Heart Bar at Planet Hollywood, said that he paid cash for a meal at the restaurant.
The report also quotes a casino patron who apparently sat at a blackjack table with Manziel.
Cleveland.com Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reported Manziel was at the team facility on Saturday morning, but apparently the Browns vice president of communications Peter John Baptiste would not confirm to USA Today whether Manziel had been there or whether it was team policy for inactive players to be present at games.
The fact of the matter is that it team policy or not, Manziel should clearly be present at the games. He should definitely be at the facility getting treatment and following workout protocol. He should absolutely be taking every step possible to repair the damage he has done to his reputation and restore the Browns' faith in him moving forward.
No player of Manziel's stature should be out partying the night before their team's final game of the season; let alone a guy who has been in trouble time and time again for disregarding his social and team responsibilities and is currently inactive after suffering from a goddamned concussion.
The fact that this moron has "football" in his nickname is a disgrace to the game. If I have to read one more report about how his underperforming, underachieving, over-entitled ass is out doing everything he's been told a thousand times not to do, I'm going to lose my lunch.
Cleveland is too good for him.
