Marcus Gilchrist Tries Bulldogging Rob Grownkowski: Rodeo Clowns Rush To Rescue
The Patriots lead the Jets 23-20 at the two-minute warning, New England taking the lead on an 8-yard TD catch by Danny Amendola from Tom Brady. It was a 10-play, 80-yard drive, 10 of those yards coming when Rob Gronkowski carried Marcus Gilchrist like a sack of rice.
Attempting to tackle Gronkowski, also known as bulldogging, has drawn concerns from the animal rights community that the competition may include practices that constitute cruelty to animals. The event also carries a high risk of injury to the player attempting the tackle.
More the latter than the former.
