Jameis Winston Suspended Entire Clemson Game; Tim Tebow Breaks It Down
Florida State stepped up their punishment -- sort of -- and suspended Jameis Winston for a whole game. His initial half-game suspension for his obscene antics that were emulating an internet meme clearly weren't enough. So, FSU doubled it.
It's a slap on the wrist for a player who seems to think he's invincible. A punishment has been a long time coming, and it's probably still not enough. The media has been on a wildly successful witch hunt these last few weeks, but with Winston's history and context (i.e. his past sexual assault case) he should have been suspended longer than one game. In a time when the youngster needs to exhibit sensitivity and maturity, he threw his mysongny in everyone's face -- a meme isn't an excuse for immorality or ignorance.
So now, in a weird way, I'm rooting against Florida State today. If they lose, it would serve as further punishment to Winston. Is that irrational, vindictive and evil? Probably. Sorry, I'm not sorry.

If you want to hear from someone more righteous and patient with Famous Jameis, here's Tim Tebow being surprisingly articulate about Jameis Winston's role as FSU's leader:
