Jay Cutler’s Gonna Be Broadcasting Games For Fox This Year
When a team gives another quarterback a three-year, $45 million deal, then trades a bunch of draft picks to move up ONE FREAKING SPOT to get an unproven 20-year-old quarterback, it's probably a sign that they're moving on from their current quarterback. Jay Cutler is no dummy -- he saw the writing on the wall and decided to bail on the final year of his contract and switch careers. Now he's the third wheel on a Fox broadcast team.
This is the best decision Jay Cutler has ever made.
NEWS. It's official. Jay Cutler has been hired by @nflonfox . Will join Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis in the booth this season.

Apparently he could've stuck around and pulled a Brett Favre, but I mean c'mon, there are more dignified ways to retire than "going to the Jets and being eviscerated by the media on a 24-hour basis." No one's blaming him for passing on this gig...
Before deciding to go to FOX, Jay Cutler had real discussions with Jets, and less-promising ones with Texans. Cutler opted for analyst role.

If you're curious what kind of personality Cutler will be presenting to millions of people every Sunday, might we submit the following Champ Bailey interview as evidence that it will probably involve some hot takes and unpopular opinions, as he never was the most likable dude on the planet. Once again, no one's blaming Fox for giving another douchebag a microphone, as it's worked out for them quite well with Skip Bayless.
