Jed York Places Jim Harbaugh’s Neck On Chopping Block With Ill-Timed Twitter Apology
Some are saying that the tweet below officially seals Jim Harbaugh's doom. Some say it means nothing, and that 49ers' owner Jed York is a pinhead for writing it. San Francisco lost at home, 19-3, to the Seahawks on Thursday, spoiling some Thanksgiving feasts in the Bay Area and probably eliminating the the 49ers from the playoffs.
The 49ers' owner was not amused.
Thank you #49ersfaithful for coming out strong tonight. This performance wasn't acceptable. I apologize for that

Well, San Francisco's offense pretty much stunk to be sure. The defense played well -- Seattle's only touchdown came following Richard Sherman's interception in the first half. Considering that Navorro Bowman and Patrick Willis are out with injuries, that's not too bad.
But York apparently is not willing to distribute good effort merit badges. His problem is, though, that a playoff spot is not totally out of the question, even at 7-5, and his tweet is only going to add more confusion and turmoil in a lockerroom already leaking toxic emotions.
49ers owner Jed York tweets, "This performance wasn't acceptable." If I'm Jim Harbaugh, the sound I'm hearing is "Hail To The Victors."

Kaepernick agreed with Jed York's unacceptable/apology tweet: "It's not acceptable. We didn't play well. We have much higher standards"

Nothing is likely to happen on the coaching front until the season is over. The 49ers would be foolish to cut Harbaugh loose right now, because the overriding question is, who would replace him?
