John Oliver Calls Out Roger Goodell For Not Saying Diddly During Friday's Press Conference
Roger Goodell said all the right things at his press conference Friday -- all the right things he should've said three weeks ago, that is. By the time Friday rolled around, Goodell should've had more substantive "changes" to the NFL's policies than "stuff" that will "improve" eventually "when we get around to it."
Sure, it was a nice gesture to help out domestic abuse hotlines, but the world wanted to know how the league would handle future Ray Rice situations. Instead, all we got were a bunch of platitudes, promises, apologies, and a screaming Howard Stern producer.
