Wednesday night in New York City, fellow RotoExpert Adam Ronis and I will get our opportunity to right a wrong, and we want you to join us as we do it for great causes this time.
The FNTSY Sports Network, the world’s first-ever TV Network dedicated fully to Fantasy Sports, will hold its second annual celebrity and experts Fantasy Football league draft, the FNTSY Cup, from 7 to 10 pm ET on August 17 in midtown Manhattan. The draft will take place at the recently opened New York home for FNTSY, at 218 West 35th Street in the Rock and Reilly’s Restaurant on the Fifth Floor of the new Marriott Renaissance Hotel. Watch us draft and share advice and analysis on the new and glorious FNTSY Roofdeck overlooking Madison Square Garden. Admission is free and the event will be broadcast on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and FNTSY. This year’s league winner will receive a $2,000 donation to the charity of their choice. The runner up will receive a $500 donation.
Adam and I shared a team in the league last year and made it all the way to the Super Bowl before being defeated by premier high-stakes Fantasy Football player Glenn Lowy. Wednesday night, Adam and I will start on the path to redemption, and we invite you to come watch us take on a star-studded field of participants. They include:
-Lisa Ann, Author of “The Life” and host of Lisa Ann Does Fantasy on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio.
-Professional wrestler Eric “The World Class Maniac” Young.
-Former Tennessee Titans and New York Giants linebacker Keith Bulluck
-Albie and Chris Manzo, stars of Manzo’d with Children (Season Three premieres Sept. 11 on Bravo)
-Dean Murray, NYS Assemblyman who advocated for the legalization of Fantasy Sports in the recent leglislative session.
-Fantasy Football high stakes standouts Lowy ($135,000-plus in career winnings) and Chris Vaccaro (over $200,000 in career winnings).
-Fantasy experts Adam Aizer of CBSSports.com and Brandon Marianne Lee of Pro Football Focus and Her FantasyFootball.com and FNTSY Host Gabriel Morency.
Those who attend will get great Fantasy advice and tips from a hand-picked field of participants. “We aren’t putting celebrities who don’t know anything up on a stage to make picks and disappear. And we aren’t filling the league with cold experts buried in their laptops,” said FNTSY Director of Programming Nando Di Fino. “These are real, enjoyable, intelligent people with great personalities who know and play Fantasy. This is a fun league. It’s a party. We’re doing it in the heart of New York City. Fantasy is fun and you play it with your friends, and the huge numbers we’re seeing every year in participation prove this.”
RotoExperts readers and subscribers, FNTSY viewers and SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio listeners are encouraged to come and meet the celebrities and also soak up some information and insights that could be the difference in executing impressive drafts of their own. The league will be comprised of 12 teams and will utilize PPR scoring.
“We want everyone to come out, enjoy themselves, watch the draft and get some Fantasy information that they can take away and hopefully use to win their leagues,” said Louis M. Maione, CEO of FNTSY Sports Entertainment Group. “And if you get to snap a picture with Eric Young or pull Scott Engel aside and have him explain his sleepers, or thank Assemblyman Murray for fighting for Fantasy Sports in New York, that’s perfect. It’s why we are doing this. We’re all one big Fantasy-playing family and the circle is going to keep getting bigger and bigger.”
So come and see Glenn Lowy hoist the FNTSY Cup on Wednesday night in front of other stars and experts. We’ll see you there, as Adam and I make certain he won’t be doing it again at this time next year.
