Junior Galette was videotaped beating a woman with a belt on a beach. We’re not sure what that does to his credibility, but it certainly makes you not want to believe anything he says. Now that he’s no longer with the New Orleans Saints (who released him Friday, eating $18 million of his contract and allowing him to sign elsewhere), Galette took to Twitter to air out some of the Saints’ dirty laundry using his girlfriend’s account. This may very well be the butthurt musings of a psychopath (read: he beat a woman with a belt on a beach) but it’s pretty damn specific.
But first, here’s the video that presumably got him cut for some background on the former Saints linebacker.
Among other things (which you see screencapped, here), Galette accused Sean Payton of being “a molly abuser drunk hooked on prescription pills” who would show up to team meetings drunk. He also floated the notion that the team trains in West Virginia because Payton has a girlfriend there (Payton filed for divorce with his wife of 20 years back in 2012).
The account has since been deleted.
– New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan took to Twitter to pleasantly remind the internet that he’s excited to be back practicing with his team — or so it’d seem. Jordan capitalized the letters “J-U-N-E-T-R-I-P-P-I-N” (which spells “June Trippin”). Nice.
