Keith Olbermann Has Gone Insane, Calls To ‘Blow Up’ Seahawks
February 3 / Jake O'Donnell / SportsGrid
The final Seahawks play call of the Super Bowl combined with Pete Carroll's explanation of said play call, combined with Roger Goodell's insistence that he makes himself available to the media, combined with Goodell's snubbing of Bob Costas during the Super Bowl pre-game makes Keithy Keith's mindy mind go [insert Cuckoo clock noise].
Seriously though, that was an insane end to any football game and Pete Carroll was lost for words when asked about why they didn't just hand the ball to Marshawn Lynch -- no matter how ineffective the Seahawks' rush has been against goal line defenses this year. And Roger Goodell DID go out of his way to tell the press that he makes himself available everyday only to no-show NBC hours before the Super Bowl even though he was in the same building, which is also insane (mostly because they pay the NFL billions of dollars to broadcast the game for a few hours once every few years).
"There is only one solution," he said about the Seattle Seahawks going forward -- as if there was a problem with the only team to reach back-to-back Super Bowls in ten years. "Blow the Seattle Seahawks up. There are no other options. History, cruel, remorseless but inevitable history, tells us that no franchise recovers from this."
"Fire Pete Carroll...trade Russell Wilson," he said before literally getting up from his chair in a stupor and taking an elevator down to scream into the street.
