Week 13 of the Fantasy Football season usually means a few things to Fantasy owners. It might mean it’s the last chance for you to make the playoffs. It might mean you need to shore up your roster for a playoff run. Or it might just mean it’s the last week you can pick up players eligible to be held over as keepers for 2017 Fantasy Football leagues.
This article is meant for the latter, but really, it can be for all teams that want to add some last-minute longshot players that might have more value at the end of next summer than they did at the end of the Fantasy regular season.
Think about over the past few years, how some players, like Isaiah Crowell and C.J. Anderson went from not-really-great keepers to being some pretty good ones just six months later.
So that’s our goal here – find you some players that might just turn into decent keeper prospects for 2017.
7 Keepers For 2017 Fantasy Football to Add In Week 13
The players we’re mentioning below are all owned in fewer than 50 percent of Fantasy Football leagues on CBSSports.com. You won’t see any kickers or defenses on this list because – let’s face it – no one’s keeping a kicker, or even a defense that’s not a top-three unit already. Jared Goff was the only decent young QB you’d consider keeping, but even then, it would have to be a dynasty league because no one wants to keep a quarterback that’s not a top-10 QB. So this is really just limited to running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.
